Recently retired from the Metropolitan Police Service after an extensive 30-year career as a police officer and has undertaken various strategic and operational roles. A senior leader actively engaged in diverse projects and programs, including significant involvement in Counter Terrorism initiatives.

Prior to retirement worked for the NPCC Counter Drones Lead BTP  and Chief Constable Lucy D’Orsi, as Policy and Legislation Lead working at the Home Office and across government. Managed a small, highly motivated team operating in an agile way to successfully deliver the capability for policing to both detect and mitigate the threat and risk posed by drones following the incident at Gatwick Airport in December 2018. Police policy advisor on the Air Traffic and Unmanned Aircraft Bill which received Royal Assent in 2021.

Currently a member of police staff at the British Transport Police (BTP) and Head of the Drones Programme, delivering a Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone capability for the force to tackle disruption across the railway. Working closely with Civil Aviation Authority and rail partners using the latest drone technologies to meet regulatory challenges.
