His work includes pioneering developments in particle swarm optimisation, autonomous self-organising swarms of firefighting drones, and advanced physics-based wildfire modelling enhanced by data assimilation and AI. He is the founder of Swarm Mind Ltd, an innovation-driven start-up launched with support from an Innovate UK ICURe Discover award to commercialise over 20 years of expertise in swarm intelligence.
