Chief Superintendent Clare Knibbs is Head of Joint Contact Management for Thames Valley Police and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. Having served as a police officer for 26 years, Clare's career has spanned child protection, domestic abuse investigations, serious and complex crime, and leadership roles as a Local Police Commander and senior Detective.

Her move into contact management marked an exciting career shift and provided valuable insight into a different side of policing. Clare is passionate about the impact that first contact the police can have on public trust, confidence, and outcomes for those seeking help. Bringing decades of investigative and operational experience, she offers a unique perspective on how contact centres and frontline policing can work together to provide the best possible service to the public. Clare coaches and mentors officers on a Female Development pathway in Thames Valley, keen to support and promote talent and break down barriers many females have in policing. She is also a Gold Firearms Commander for both Forces.
