Chris Stagg
Chris is a retired police officer who now serves as police staff, bringing more than 34 years of policing experience, primarily within Specialist Operations. He played a key role in the introduction of drone capability across both Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary and Thames Valley Police in 2018 and has since been at the forefront of operational drone innovation and deployment.
During his career, Chris has worked with the Metropolitan Police Service, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, and Thames Valley Police. He currently serves as the NPCC Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) Lead for Hampshire & Thames Valley, helping to shape the future of advanced drone operations within UK policing.
Away from policing, Chris has a lifelong passion for aviation. He gained his Private Pilot Licence (PPL(A)) in 2005 and has experience flying single engine fixed wing aircraft. More recently, he has expanded his aviation interests into model aviation, flying RC helicopters, FPV drones and RC fixed wing models. He is also an active member of the British Model Flying Association.
