At its core, SAFE is an enterprise-wide, unified public safety platform, distinguishing itself from conventional solutions. It integrates various control room systems—incident management, resource management, telephony, radio, dispatch, video monitoring, and business analytics—into a cohesive and unified command and control solution. This integration simplifies control room operations by providing a single user interface, reducing the need for multiple touchscreens, and minimising desk space.  The solution is designed to function 24/7/365, handling a wide range of communication channels.

SAFE fully supports configurable screen layouts based on user roles. The solution supports the use of up to ten screens based on the capability of the Windows operating system and allows for layouts to be configured with one or more screens based on a user role.

When using multiple screens, additional, related data can be presented dynamically within different screens and data tabs, dependent on information being viewed or updated. For example, whilst a CRO is creating an Incident record, the solution dynamically displays the associated map position either within a map window or dedicated map screen (based on layout requirements) and related risk and hazard information can also be presented on an adjacent screen. This approach means that operators are presented with a wealth of information and related intelligence to support the mobilisation of resources within a single user interface in a clear, uncluttered and concise way.

The solution includes standard capability whereby authorised users are able to configure PDA’s and related responses using a range of attributes including the Incident type and Location.

During the creation of Incident records, the solution dynamically determines the appropriate PDA based based on information entered on the Incident record with the ability to add further resources in instances where circumstances change.

Each PDA is linked to a configurable utility which determines the number and type of resources proposed together with attributes which are used to determine the most appropriate resources/appliances presented to the user, for example, those that are at home station status and are closest to the Incident location.  When SAFE proposes resources, the CRO can select the drill down arrow to the left of each resource proposed to see further detail. The information shown is configurable and is typically setup to contain the properties that each specific customer requires.

SAFE can be configured to hold resources for OTB FRSs as required.
