SAFE is operational in over 35 mission-critical control rooms across the UK, Europe, and the United States. In the UK and Ireland, SAFE is in operational use by five police forces.  

At its core, SAFE is an enterprise-wide, unified public safety platform, distinguishing itself from conventional solutions. It integrates various control room systems—incident management, resource management, telephony, radio, dispatch, video monitoring, and business analytics—into a cohesive and unified command and control solution. This integration simplifies control room operations by providing a single user interface, reducing the need for multiple touchscreens, and minimising desk space.

Each SAFE client partners with Saab to implement a unified solution for managing both emergency and non-emergency communications with the public and government agencies. The platform supports incident and resource management and seamlessly integrates with critical back-office applications, such as Records Management Systems (RMS), Human Resource Systems, and Duty Management Systems (DMS). Our implementations feature a common, configurable user interface that supports control room users, as well as remote or mobile personnel. The solution is designed to function 24/7/365, handling a wide range of communication channels.

Our solution includes extensive integration capabilities with leading police technology suppliers such as Niche, Nice, Tetra, and ESN, as well as other critical providers. With our background in defence and surveillance, we work collaboratively with suppliers, using non-disclosure agreements and, where applicable, full teaming agreements to ensure that technology solutions are tailored to meet operational needs. As a company, we are actively engaged with national and local government initiatives, such as MAIT, and work closely with the Home Office on the national replacement radio solution.
