Radio mapping for the edge

Building upon 10 years of R&D and award winning experience in information systems, Cloud-RF have launched a revolutionary edge processing capability for tactical radio operators which integrates with Android Team Awareness Kit (TAK).
The radio agnostic service, SOOTHSAYER-RF, provides new edge processing capabilities for radio planning and situational awareness (Radio mapping):
- Freehand route analysis
- Visualisation of mesh network links
- Site coverage (Ptmp)
- Path profile (Ptp)
It can be used from ATAK/WinTAK client without a plugin or any web browser.
For route analysis, an operator can draw a freehand route using the ATAK scribble tool and SOOTHSAYER-RF will instantly analyse the route's points back to a fixed site or the start. Results are presented to operators as red, amber or green markers for bad, ok or good reception.
For MANET or mesh networks, an increasingly popular choice in disaster networks, the service can show you the entire network as colour coded links. Using this in real time can give commanders an appreciation for where there are redundant nodes in a network and where there are issues.
As human-machine teaming becomes increasingly common, SOOTHSAYER-RF will model links to drones and robots automatically when the locations are forwarded to the API. Looking to the future, robots can use the API to make decisions about routes based upon signal quality.
For large scale LTE networks, the service can pull on the power and versatility of the API which can model thousands of sites at national scale. Once modelled, networks can be rapidly queried later using the best server function.
